Tajikistan plans to buy railway cars in Russia
The Tajik Railway State Enterprise (TZD) plans to acquire innovative freight, passenger and special cars in Russia. This was reported on the page of the trade mission of Russia in Tajikistan on Facebook. On August 19, Russian Trade Representative Yevgeny Korenkov met with Deputy Minister of Transport of Tajikistan Shoista Saidmurodzod and Head of the TZD Komil Mirzoaliev. The parties discussed the provision of additional benefits to TZhD for the export of products to Russia. Tajikistan is also considering the purchase of railway equipment and tools for its maintenance. According to the news agency, according to the results of the first seven months of 2020, the volume of cargo transportation by rail in Tajikistan increased by 15.6%, to 3.6 million tons.
