Synoptics in Uzbekistan note an increase in the average annual temperature
The rate of temperature increase in Uzbekistan is well ahead of the average rate observed around the world, Uzhydromet reported on April 14. The largest increases in average annual temperatures are seen in major cities, including Tashkent, Samarkand and Fergana, the lowest in mountainous areas. According to the synoptics, the average annual temperature in most of Uzbekistan exceeded the norm by 1.6 2.3 degrees Celsius. At the same time, in the desert zone in the west of the country, the temperature exceeded the norm by 2.9 3.1 degrees. In mountainous areas, the temperature exceeded the norm by 0.5 0.9 degrees. According to the news agency, in September 2019, the delegation of Uzbekistan reported at the UN Summit on Climate Action on the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
