The number of infected SARS-CoV-2 identified in Africa exceeded 300,000


The total number of detected cases of coronavirus infection in Africa exceeded 300 thousand. This was announced on June 22 by the regional representative office of the World Health Organization (WHO). According to WHO, the total number of infected SARS-CoV-2 is currently 303,371 on the African continent. It is also indicated that the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Africa to date has reached 7,999. At the same time, South Africa (97,302 infected) and Egypt (53,758) suffered the most from coronavirus infection. Note, as reported by the news agency, earlier it became known that over the past day in the United States over 24 thousand new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection were identified.
