Eight people became victims of floods in Mongolia
The floods that occurred in several Mongolian provinces on July 3 and 4 killed eight people and several thousand cattle. This was reported on July 7 by Xinhua News Agency, citing a statement by the Mongolian authorities. A total of eight people, including two children, died on July 3 due to floods caused by heavy rains in Umengov province in the south and Sukhe Bator province in the east, the Mongolian National Emergency Management Agency said in a statement. It is also reported that for the same reason in the provinces of Arkhangelsk, Gov-Sumber and Tuva, at least 7 thousand cattle were killed, and in the provinces of Tuva, Huvsgel and Henty, 2,360 houses were flooded. At the same time, according to forecasts of meteorologists, heavy rains will continue in most of Mongolia in the coming days, in connection with which citizens and especially pastoralists were called for additional precautions. Note, as reported by the news agency, earlier it became known that the National Meteorological Observatory of China extended the yellow level of weather danger due to showers.
