US Congress passes law on sanctions for Hong Kong
The US Congress passed a bill against the national security law against Hong Kong, the Associated Press reported on June 2. The Senate voted in favor of sanctions against banks that will deal with Chinese officials responsible for passing a law that provoked protests from Hong Kong and its foreign partners. The Chinese law on national security provides for the creation in Hong Kong of a branch of the security services of the PRC, which will not be controlled by the government of autonomy. Read also:
